artistic creations - PEN & INK

One of Christie's two concentrations centers around use of pen and ink, incorporating a stippling technique and/or block technique.  Inspirational draws originate from living overseas, traveling off-the-beaten path, museums, the outdoors and the Romantic Age (19th century.)

Christie also delves into classical music themes taken from opera, symphony and piano.  Lobby cards have a firm foundation in his repertoire.

Some of the works are riddled with a  mélange of musical symbols, instruments and movement titles, such as the one situated to the right, Where's Puccini?  Inside this matrix are names of prominent composers, Mozart, Bach, Haydn, Verdi, Puccini, Bizet and Debussy.

Enjoy listening to the classical  selection, "Rêverie  du soir" from

Suite algérienne by Camille Saint-Saëns.
